Re-opening of Longines Flagship Boutique at SOGO Fu-Shin Department Store (Taipei, 台灣)

With a history that goes back more than 177 years, the Swiss watch brand Longines has re-opened its flagship boutique in Taiwan at Sogo Fu-Shin Department Store in Taipei. The new boutique was inaugurated on 6th October with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Officiating at the ribbon cutting ceremony was Ms.Chi Ling Lin, Longines' Ambassador of elegance. Mr. Charles Villoz, Vice President for Longines International, came especially to Taipei to witness this historic moment. More than 100 friends from the press and enthusiastic customers attended the ceremony.

The elegant Longines boutique located in the second floor of the store reflects Longines’ elegant image and contemporary design. The product display counters and the prestigious VIP area are guaranteed to give customers a pleasant shopping experience. The full collections of the brand’s watches and boutique items are displayed in the showcases and illustrate the creative genius and spirit of Longines.

On the reopning day, once the shop was bustling with the media and enthusiastic customers, the hostess announced the start of the opening ceremony by introducing the guests of honour, followed by short welcoming speeches delivered by Mr. Villoz and Ms. Chang, Vice-President for Longines Taiwan.

Then Longines Ambassador Chi Ling Lin appeared with the new PrimaLuna collection to draw attention with her timeless elegance. After the product presentation, Chi Ling talked about the new advertisement campaign for the brand’s new collection of women’s watches, the Longines PrimaLuna. The result is exactly what one might expect: Chi Ling, the queen of mysterious and elegant, radiates beauty and charm. The superb star is without question the perfect embodiment of Longines’ slogan “Elegance is an attitude”. The new collection and the advertising campaign were unveiled immediately later with Chi Ling’s signature.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony followed. The guests invited to cut the ribbon included Shuin-Lung Lee, President for Jing Kuang Tang; Phill Hwang, Country Manager for Swatch Group Taiwa; Miss Wu, store mamager for SOGO Fu-shin department store; plus Mr. Villoz, Erica Chang and Chi Ling.

One of the key programs during the event was the announcement of Longines’ new Charity Campaign "Culture Reservation for Aboriginal Children”, an initiative that aims to help aborigine children who suffered from Typhoon Morakot. Following Longines’ tradition of helping children in need and the commitment to global social responsibility, “Culture Reservation for Aboriginal Children” will enable talented aboriginal children to demonstrate their talents and fly with their dreams.
